As a wedding & event organizer, I am subject to more than my fair share of indignation and rage. You see, until people plan their first wedding day, they not ever think about how much wedding ceremonies cost. They want to have cost effective weddings, yet they also wish to have all of the glitz & glamor. The problem is that, even if you purchase cost-effective bridal gowns, cost-effective wedding cakes, inexpensive bridesmaid dresses, & all the rest, it will still add up to lots of money. The bottom line is that, if you want to have that inexpensive wedding day, you have to be willing to make sacrifices.

I am not saying that having low-cost wedding ceremonies is impossible. If you're willing to have a small wedding day ceremony with just a few of your very closest friends there, you are able to do it for quite a rational price. You can make it distinctive by incorporating touches like top wedding songs. The issue is that, if having low-cost wedding ceremonies is your intention, you have to plan everything around it. That means that you need to have a small guest list, make reservations at some cost-effective place, have some low-cost wedding dress, rent a tuxedo for the groom, & play top wedding songs on a less high-priced sound system, normally scrimp and save at every opportunity. Some of my clients have actually taken their own wedding photographs to save on the cost of hiring a wedding day photographer!

The bottom line is that the most cost-effective weddings are done in a judge's office. Everything else which you do costs further money. Some families go into debt for years due to what they spend on throwing a grand, elaborate wedding day. To me, it looks like a pity. When I meet customers who really wish to have cost effective wedding ceremonies, I tell them to have them in the backyard. That way, they can save on wedding day reservations - and play your top wedding songs on a boombox, if essential! If they are really ambitious, they can even cater it themselves. If there are going to be more than 30 people there, however, this is normally not an incredibly good idea.

I guess that it all really depends on what you expect from your wedding. When I first became married, all I desired was some straightforward ceremony to dedicate my love to my wife. If this is all that you wish as well, it will be quite easy for you to plan some low-cost wedding day. If, on the other hand, you wish to have an extravagant party with all of your friends and family, you'll have to pay for it.
