In the patented Tang-Grip clamping system, inserts are press-fit into their pockets accompanied by a specialized hand tool, and are clutched securely in place without the need without requiring clamps, upper jaws or set screws that can weaken the insert and disrupt chip flow. The pocket design utilizes cutting forces to hold the insert seated tightly in position, removing any prospect of insert pull-out.
