Have you ever noticed how many individuals you hear about which are inflicted with melanoma? It seems that every week we hear of someone that has been diagnosed with some type of cancer. She mistook the breast cancer symptoms for symptoms of other ailments.

She has a degree in pharmacological research. She did a fellowship working on various ways of manufacturing synthetic insulin. Once she was finished with her fellowship she was hired on by a drug manufacturing company to help with breast cancer research. This company manufactures one of the drugs that is used in the chemotherapy process for victims of breast cancer. Because the company is involved with administering the medication it has a lot of patients available to track regarding the breast cancer research.

My cousin is searching for similarities between the individuals that are diagnosed with breast cancer. She is also working on the profiles of the individuals that seem to respond well to the remedies and for those that do not. The wish is that if a common denominator is found regarding who responds well and why this can be shared with those that are not doing as well.

As my cousin has been involved in the breast cancer investigation she has noticed how much the attitude of the person plays into their recovery and treatment. Those that have a positive outlook are much more apt to tolerate the medications and have a smoother adjustment. Those patients which are negative about their treatments or cynical about their survival rate often do not react to the medicines. My cousin informed me that those that hear cancer and feel that this is a death sentence normally do die from their disease. As it relates to cancer the brain absolutely plays a huge role.
